Nothing has Changed – a poem remembering David Bowie

Nothing has changed

It’s all still the same

The news of my death

Was a moment, insane

I’m still here on earth

I just stepped through a door

I’ve been everywhere

But not there before

The world is in sorrow

At the loss of my being

But don’t weep for me

I’m here, always seeing

For my presence is felt

In the music I sing

And my image is here;

It’s in everything

When you turn on the TV

It’s me that you hear

I’ll always be with you

So still hold me so near

I’ll always be present

And I’ll always have fame

Nothing has changed

It’s all still the same
